Tocolo Minor Surgery Clinic recently had an enquiry from a man hoping to have a large cyst removed from the back of his head, near the crown.
It had become quite prominent and his hair no longer grow on the area where the cyst was located, it was at least two centimetres in diameter.
We had a discussion and the man was happy with my proposal, he attended the clinic for the minor surgery procedure. Patients are registered and I talk them through the process.
My normal practice is to do quite a few numbing injections around the base of the cyst. When those injections had taken effect I started the incisions, eventually getting to a point where I could remove the cyst. I then carefully sewed up the skin.
The cyst removal process is now complete, I just follow up when the sutures are removed, unless there is a problem.
If you, a family member or friend has a cyst, skin tag or something similar, you can contact Tocolo Minor Surgery Clinic about the possibility of having it removed, here’s our contact page.
